First, a couple of definitions. AIPAC: American Israel Public Affairs Committee. Considered by some as
the most influential lobby in
Washington. (Others think it is number two. Same difference.) Steve Rosen: AIPAC's top lobbyist and
the brain behind the operation. Rosen made AIPAC what it is, a powerful lobby few in D.C. dare defy
(those that do don't get re-elected), by extending its influence beyond
Congress into the executive branch.
For those not familiar with the case: the FBI has been investigating Rosen
since 1999. While following Rosen, the FBI
found out that Pentagon analyst Larry Franklin was passing secrets to Rosen who then gave them to Israeli officials.
The press has tried to minimize the issue by claiming that the information passed had to do with information
about impending attacks in Iraq fomented by Iran. However, note that Rosen was under investigation years
before the invasion and occupation of Iraq. Also, the FBI found that Franklin had 82 classified documents in his home.
Franklin worked in the Pentagon
under Douglas Feith, Undersecretary for Defense and Likudnite (Likud is the Israeli right-wing party. Prime Minister Ariel
Sharon belongs to the Likud - see Iraq: A War for Israel.) The Office of
Special Plans under Douglas Feith together with the White House Iraq Groups are the ones that produced the
barrage of propaganda that propelled the US public to approve of the attack on Iraq. It is reported that Franklin
and Michael Ledeen (another fervent Likudnite) were at a meeting in Italy with those that forged the Niger documents
(these documents are at the core of Plamegate: the outing of Valerie Plame, CIA covert agent and wife of Joe Wilson.)
Thus we see that two cases of treason, AIPACgate and Plamegate, interconnect.
The Franklin indictment refers
to the people involved by codes not by names. Israeli
Embassy officials, Naor Gilon (FO3) and Rafi Barak (FO1), were receiving the classified information from Rosen.
Other Americans
involved are
David Satterfield
(USGO2), who served as the second-ranking Middle East officer in the State Department and now is
deputy to the US Ambassador to Iraq; Ken Pollack (USGO1) who served on the National Security Council in the Clinton administration,
a key Democratic Party foreign policy advisor
and now frequent TV political commentator and writer who pushed for war with Iraq
(The Threatening Storm). Another reporter linked to Franklin is former CIA attorney
Adam Ciralsky, who has worked for CBS and NBC.
According to the Forward,
CIralsky was "allegedly forced out of the CIA in 1999 during the course of an inquiry into his family background
and his Jewish affiliations."
Rosen boasted throughout the years of his access to
US government secrets so many other government officials and politicians may be involved.
These treason cases are but an indication of how the American Likudnites have hijacked U.S.
foreign policy on behalf of Israel. The purpose seems to have been two fold: to assure the supremacy of
Israel in the Middle East and to secure oil and other resources (water for one). As stated by
an Israeli official (Odev Yinon in 1982) and later by the American Likudnite gang ( see "A Clean Break" and PNAC),
the goal in the Middle East is to "atomize"
i.e. break up Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Jordan, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Atomization is needed to remove nations that
oppose further expansion (physical or economic) of Israel: Zionists believe that Israel should extend from the
Nile (Egypt) to the Euphrates (Iraq). Part one is almost completed: grabbing the bulk of the Palestinian land and
corralling Palestinians -
those that are not ethnically cleansed - into ghettos that take up at most 8% of Palestinian land. Part two - atomizing
the Arab nations - is in progress: Iraq will probably break up into 3 pieces; Syria has been driven out of Lebanon which
will probably result in another Lebanese civil war and break up. The White House and Congress are well on their
way of setting the stage for a full scale invasion of Syria and Iran (in this case only to control the oil-rich region):
keep an eye on troop increases in Iraq [track troop levels]
- the claim may be the Iraqi elections - and... heard about all those attacks and bombings of
"jihadists" on the border with Syria? The border with Syria is already being softened. Meantime, bombings are
starting to occur in some areas of Iran.

Pentagon analyst plea bargains, threatens to expose Israel's Washington cabal

10/20: ED. The list of news articles below is not complete and more will be added.
Hopefully one will be an interesting article
in The New York Times, around May 2005, that
reports that the FBI made a deal with AIPAC so that AIPAC could officially stay out of the investigation. The
deal had four conditions. I remember two: 1) the two officials nabbed in the investigation, Rosen and Weissman,
had to leave AIPAC and 2) AIPAC could not pay the lawyers' fees.
I recall these because then the article proceeded to say that AIPAC had been paying the fees at the tune of
about $1.5 million in a month. I have searched for this article in the NY Times archives with no luck.
From Jerusalem Post:
AIPAC [spy] case reaches plea bargain
Pentagon analyst Larry Franklin, charged with providing officials in the pro-Israel lobby (AIPAC)
with classified defense information, has struck a plea bargain with the prosecution and is expected
to testify against the former AIPAC employees in the case. Franklin will enter his guilty plea next
Wednesday at the US District court in Alexandria, Virginia.
From Jerusalem Post:
Israelis won't testify in AIPAC trial
The three Israeli diplomats who were in touch with former AIPAC staffers now standing trial in Virginia
are unwilling to cooperate with defense attorneys and do not intend to agree to come and testify in the case.
From JTA:
After restructuring, AIPAC plans to focus on wider range of issues
[besides foreign affairs]
The premier pro-Israel lobby is simultaneously expanding its lobbying efforts in Washington [and]
the number of issues it addresses...[which will include] homeland security, nuclear proliferation
and terrorism. Lobbying will be run by Marvin Feuer, Director for Defense and Strategic Issues
and senior lobbyist
whose focus is Iran and Ambassador Brad Gordon, who currently runs congressional lobbying and who has held
among others the position of Assistant Director of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency.
Feuer replaces
Steve Rosen, the force behind AIPAC for decades who made it the powerful lobby that it is
and who was recently indicted for spying for Israel in the U.S.

that passed information to the top AIPAC [American Israel Public Affairs Committee] man, Steve Rosen.

Israel lobbyist bragged about Pentagon source
A former official of a pro-Israel lobbying group indicted last week boasted that his Pentagon source was a "real insider"
and promised to "do what I can" to help the source get a job with the National Security Council, court records show.
[The indictment] said the AIPAC officials illegally disclosed information from classified reports,
including data on terrorist activities in Central Asia, the Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia,
U.S. strategy options in the Middle East and al Qaeda terrorists.
It said they also passed the information to reporters, who were encouraged to write stories.
